Alòs de Balaguer

Alòs Balaguer is a small rural town of about a hundred regular inhabitants. Located on the banks of the river Segre, in the foothills of the Sant Mamet and the Montsec mountains range.

Its location, offset from the main roads, which has been established as a town with a quiet and picturesque nature.

The town's main economy is agriculture and livestock, although most young people choose to work in larger towns nearby.

There is the parish church Sant Feliu d'Alòs (polychrome altar stone of the 14th century), Alòs Castle (in ruins), Monument in San Sebastian, Sant Miguel chapel (11th century), a must for any visitor.



One of the landmarks of the village are the fountains, as it is surrounded by several of them. Supplies water to many residents of towns in the region who come to fill containers, while taking advantage to visit the village.
